A cutter rigged sloop, Salacia is a David Pedrick designed performance cruiser manufactured by Cheoy Lee in 1984 in Hong Kong. Lloyds of London standards are certified by the manufacturer – one of the oldest and largest shipbuilders. Salacia has been well maintained by the current owners. She has a 6’4” draft, modified fin keel and a skeg-hung rudder. LWL is 30’10” and Beam is 11’10”. Manufactured with teak decks, she now has Awl-grip decks with non-skid. The hand crafted, richly detailed teak interior makes this boat a classic. Simply put, she sails well and is a pleasure to call home. Headroom below is 6’5”. Ample ventilation throughout makes for tropical comfort.

Accomodations

There are two private staterooms. The V berth forward is 6'3" long and 6'5" wide with two large separate hanging lockers. The quarter berth measures 7' long x 4' wide and has a hanging locker. Salon has 2 long settees which make into bunks and a folding teak dining table that seats 8. The galley is efficiently layed-out with double sink and counter, 3 burner propane stove with oven, and large capacity top-loading refrigerator. Moving aft there is a generous sized nav station, and a combination head with shower. The cockpit is comfortable for lounging or travel with Bimini and Dodger. All together Salacia is a truly comfortable live-aboard boat.
